Today we learned two more properties of exponents.

1. When you divide two terms with the same base you subtract the exponents

2. When you raise a quotient to a power you multiply the exponents

Monday August 20

Today we learned to simplify exponents. We looked at the zero exponent and at negative exponents. Anything to the zero power is 1 and anything to a negative power means do the reciprocal.

Today we worked more on operations for integers as well as looked at order of operations. Order of operations is PEMDAS (parenthses, exponents, multiply, divide, add, subtract)
